You Can’t Do Everything; So, Try to Do The Right Things

There are SO many things that you are presented with to do when you’re a school principal and you can’t possibly do them all. That doesn’t stop most of us from giving it a try, though! But that usually leads to clarity on our part… clarity that you have to PRIORITIZE and do the things that are uniquely “principal” things.

What are they? The most important things for a principal to do varies from school to school… and it can vary WITHIN your school over time as the context of your school and school year evolve. The most effective of principals are adaptable. They are always looking and listening and measuring things around them to determine what specifically needs their best attention.
