A one-day conference celebrating “Excellence in School Leadership.” Highlighting Women Leading Georgia Schools, our conference celebrates excellence in Georgia Schools.
Our Featured Keynoter is from neighboring South Carolina: Dr. Tracie Swilley. Tracie is the 2025 National Principal of the Year (NASSP). She represents Fairfield-Central High School in the program, and is currently serving as Interim Superintendent of Fairfield County Schools in Winnsboro, SC.
Excellence in Georgia Schools is represented by a panel of experts:
- Courtney Walker, the 2023 National Assistant Principal of the Year (NASSP) and the Principal of Carrollton Elementary School, Carrollton City Schools.
- Dr. Noris Price, the 2022 Georgia Superintendent of the Year and Finalist for National Superintendent of the Year. Dr. Price is currently serving as the Superintendent-in-Residence for GSSA (the Georgia School Superintendents Association).
- Dr. Amy Barbour, the principal of Veterans High School, Kathleen, GA, in the Houston County Schools.
- Dr. Suzan Harris, principal of Henderson Middle School, Butts County Schools, Jackson, GA. Suzan was the 2024 Georgia Middle School Principal of the Year (GASSP).
- Rachel Kinsaul, the 2026 Georgia State Teacher of the Year. Rachel is an Ag Teacher at Morgan County High School in Madison where she was a recipient of the prestigious Milken Educator Award.
- Colleen Jones is the principal of Central Middle School in the Carroll County Schools. CMS is the only Georgia school and one of only 24 nationally, to be designated as a School of Distinction by the American Middle Level Educators association for 2025.
The site will be near Macon, GA (specific location to be announced soon).
Regular registration continues through January 2 and is $125.00. (After January 2, Late Registration is $150.00)
Registration includes continental breakfast, lunch, and snacks (morning and afternoon).
